Jr Cloud Engineer
Full-timeRemote
Help build and maintain the cloud infrastructure that powers Chell. You'll work
alongside experienced engineers on real-time systems, learning while shipping
features that impact thousands of developers.
What you'll do
Help maintain our WebSocket infrastructure for real-time sync
Monitor system performance and assist with scaling efforts
Write infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation
Build observability dashboards and alerting
Participate in on-call rotations and incident response
What we're looking for
1-2 years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and basic networking
Experience with at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, or similar)
Eagerness to learn distributed systems and real-time infrastructure
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Get hands-on experience building real products used by developers. You'll work
directly with our engineering team on features that ship to production—not side
projects that sit on a shelf.
What you'll do
Build features across our desktop, mobile, and CLI applications
Write code in TypeScript, Swift, or Kotlin depending on interest
Participate in design discussions and code reviews
Ship code to real users within your first weeks
What we're looking for
Currently pursuing a degree in CS, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Solid fundamentals in at least one programming language
Curiosity about developer tools and AI
Bias toward action—you'd rather ship and iterate than plan forever
Help spread the word about Chell to the developer community. You'll create content,
manage social channels, and experiment with growth strategies—all while learning
what it takes to market a developer tool.
What you'll do
Create engaging content for Twitter, LinkedIn, and developer communities
Write blog posts, tutorials, and product announcements
Engage with users on Discord and gather feedback
Research competitors and identify growth opportunities
Help plan and execute product launches
What we're looking for

Familiarity with developer culture and communities
